Especially designed for the extraction of grit from a de gritting chamber.

It consist basically of a set of sweeping racks of alternative movement hydraulically driven and installed in a rectangular tank with its bottom sloped.

The classifier’s feed is continuous, the flow being distributed widthwise in the equipment until a particular point where a spillway exists.

The alternative movement of the racks lightly shakes the liquid content of the tank in such a way that this shaking separates the low volume low specific weight solids from the grit or heavier solids that remain in the bottom.

The light solids, generally of organic type, are evacuated trough the spillway recycling themselves again to the process. The grit is dragged in their alternative movement towards the highest point of the channel by the racks that carry on with the discharge of the grit, which is already washed to eliminate bad odors from it.

The classifier’s discharged solids are easily manipulated by mechanic means for their retrieval and elimination.

Main characteristics:

Frame.- Totally built in stainless steel Aisi 304 or 316 quality, rectangular design, high resistance, incorporated reinforcements, spinning points encapsulated in Teflon or nylon.

Protecting lid.- Located in the top of the equipment, as a protection to the hydraulic pistons and additional mechanisms, it is a practical and advisable application, especially in the outdoors, built in stainless steel Aisi 304 or 316 quality.

Movement transmission elements.- Side rods and eccentrics in welded construction of built in stainless steel Aisi 304 or 316 quality, sockets in Teflon or nylon in the spinning points, axis in built in stainless steel Aisi 304 or 316 quality.

Bench drive mechanism.- The nylon wheels and cylinders in welded construction and reinforced in built in stainless steel Aisi 304 or 316 quality.

Racks.- Welded in the lower level of the structure and transversally located in it. Equally spaced trough the lengthwise axis of the structure, completely built in stainless steel Aisi 304 or 316 quality.

Driving.- The mechanism is driven by an hydraulic group with double effect cylinders that transmit the movement to the racks.

Protection.- The system will be protected against an excess in tension, in all its movements, by means of hydraulic limits.

Maneuvering panel.- Standard design, type Himel or Rital, dimensions according to the project, inside it the hydraulic driving group of the equipment is found protected: the protection will be as minimum IP-55.

Compact metallic tank.- As an optional application, built in stainless steel Aisi 304 or 316 quality.
