Characteristics:

combines the advantages of the filtering systems and the Coil presses to achieve outstanding results:

- Cylindrical slot screen, with slot openings between 0.1 and 1.00 mm.
- Flexible body floating screen.
- Very precise tolerance between the screw’s vane and the screen.
- Reinforced screw and supported in a single side by a self centering system.
- Mechanical control of the solids production.

Basic Functioning:

- Feed without pressure by means of a flexible conduct or hopper
- The material is taken until the screen by means of a rotating screw
- The material drips in a first phase in the first stage of the screen (dripping zone). This dripping may be optimized by means of a vibration system
- The dripped material forms a layer over the surface of the screen that acts as a filter. In such way, particles with even lesser size than the slots of the screen are retained
- This material filtering layer is continuously withdrawn by the vanes of the screw and dragged to the back end of the screen (pressure zone).

-At the end of the screw vanes, the solids form a clog that is continuously renewed with the newly arrived material.
- In this way, the screw generates a friction pressure of the solids clog against the wall.
- A dry solids exit mechanical regulator controls the stability of the clog and assures a constant solid dryness, even if the consistency of the feed varies.
